Anchor of Hope Book Bag Project
The Anchor of Hope Book Bag Project is a way for you to help the orphans and the impoverished children of Moldova by providing them with the basic items that we take for granted here in America. The goal of this project is to collect and distribute 10,000 kits to provide the items that these children will need for school as well as basic necessities of life.
There are three ways you can participate:
• Assemble your own kit according to the list shown below and then send it to us for distribution.
• Provide the funds and we will assemble and deliver them ourselves. We do not have a cost per kit at this time since the items will be purchased in bulk to get the best prices.
• Pray. The Book Bag kits are needed, but fervent prayer is what will assure that God's will is done and these children understand - truly understand - that it is God who provides them with all their needs.
Either way, you will have made a very real and basic contribution to a very needy child.
Book Bag Contents
This is what each of the Book Bags will contain:
- back pack (should be sized for a small child to carry it, and either a plain or modest and tasteful design)
- #2 pencils (quantity of 2)
- pencil sharpener
- blue/black pens
- box of 16 crayons
- color markers
- notebook paper (approximately 200 sheets)
- glue sticks (not bottled glue)
- ruler (the combination inch/metric would be a good choice)
- gloves (child size)
- knit hat
- 1 pair of white socks (size appropriate for elementary school aged children)
- 1 pair of black socks (size appropriate for elementary school aged children)
- tooth brush
- tooth paste
Checks should be made payable to "AOHOF" with "Back Pack Project" on the memo line (or include a note to that effect). Whether you are sending completed kits or sending a check to donate to this project, please send it to:
