Doctrine (Articles of Faith)
The following brief statements form the foundation of our doctrine. We in no way shall sway or separate from this doctrinal statement.
A. Scriptures: We believe the Bible to be the Word of God written by men who were moved by the Holy Spirit so that their writings were supernaturally and verbally inspired, infallible, and inerrant. They are the final rule of all faith and practice. We further believe that God's perfect Word is preserved in the 1611 King James Bible.
B. Sovereign God: We believe in one God, manifested in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God in infinite, eternal, immutable, omnipresent, sovereign, omnipotent. He is completely just, completely love, completely truth, and completely holy.
C. Son: We believe in Jesus Christ, God the Son. We believe that He was preexistent with the Father, begotten by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary; sinless in His nature and life, infallible in His teaching, making atonement for the sins of the world by His substitutionary death on the cross. We believe in His bodily resurrection, His ascension into Heaven, His perpetual intercession for His people, His glorious, pretribulational second coming according to the promise, and His eternal position as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
D. Spirit: We believe in the deity and the personality of the Holy Spirit. We believe that He came from God to convince and convict of sin, righteousness, and judgment; and to regenerate, sanctify, indwell, comfort, and empower those who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells all believers at Salvation, and all spiritual gifts are received at that time. The apostolic miracle gifts, used as signs to authenticate their ministry, are no longer given today. The complete Word of God is now our Authority. (I Cor. 13:10) We believe in being separate from the modern charismatic movement and it's teaching.
E. Satan: We believe in the reality and person of Satan.
F. Sin: We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell through sin. With this sin came physical and spiritual death and separation from God. We believe that this sin nature was passed on to all mankind, and that there are none righteous apart form Salvation in Christ.
G. Salvation: We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, as a subsitutionary sacrifice. All who, by faith, receive Him as personal Savior, asking His forgiveness of sin, are justified because of His shed blood on Calvary and His resurrection from the dead, and are born again by the Holy Spirit, thereby becoming the children of God.
H. Security: We believe in the eternal security of the believer. That is to say, once saved, always saved.
I. Second Coming: We believe that Jesus Christ is coming back to earth as He promised in Scripture. His return will be in two phases; the rapture and the revelation. The rapture will happen before the great tribulation. At that time Christ will come back for His saints. The revelation will happen at the end of the great tribulation. At that time Christ will come back with His saints.
J. State and Church: We believe in the visible Church which is a company of believers in Jesus Christ, baptized on a credible confession of faith, and associated for worship, work, and fellowship. We believe that the local Church must carry out the great commission. We believe that local churches are independent, and autonomous, and separate form the State.
