Hamilton Family Prayer Letter

Nov-Dec 2009
Dear Bible Believing Pastors Family and Friends:

Greetings in the new year in the Name of The Lamb of God which taketh away the sins of the world!

Luke 17:15-17 " And one of them, when he saw he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?"

Fruit and Victory
This particular scripture has come to my heart on several occasions within the month, which leads into a number of things that I have seen God do here in Moldova just recently. As you know we are coming up on our 10 year mark in the orphanage ministry.
We have seen many of these orphans trust Christ, but often we don't really know how much lasting fruit is there. We are thankful to the Lord for the fruit He allows us to see and for the fruit that is not yet revealed.

The weather lately has been below freezing temperatures with 12 inches of snow on the ground. Driving on Moldova roads are a real experience, because many of the roads are not plowed. You have to find the grooves in the roads or make your own grooves, which brings me to the story at hand.

December 19, was our annual Christmas play at the orphanage. That night we had more snow than we had seen in several years. There were wrecks all over town, driving was at a snails pace, trolley buses were stuck on hills, vans were full and many people were walking. Both of our vehicles were broken down, but praise the Lord through all of the set backs God was working mightily in our midst. It has been our experience in the Lord's work that when trouble comes our focus should not be on the trouble, but on what God is doing. Praise the Lord as a result of the play, 15 children got saved!

On December 20, Sunday at church, with still much snow on the ground and deplorable conditions God brought everybody to church and some visitors. At the on set of the service, I noticed there were visitors, a mother and 2 boys sitting in the service. I asked them where they came from they said the village of Boodest. I said that's pretty far to come in this kind of weather. She said, "Oh! We didn't want to miss being here." She said, "Nico wanted to see you, shake your hand and say Thank you for coming to the orphanage and that he got saved in the preaching service." Sveta began to explain to me that when these 2 boys were little her husband died and she didn't have money to feed the 2 boys, so she had to give them up to 2 different orphanages. With tears streaming down her face she explained to me the guilt she had felt and that when ever she got on her feet she got her 2 boys back. I told her God gave you a pretty good gift for Christmas. She said, yes He sure did!" This blessed my heart that they would travel in such bad conditions to say Thank you and that God is in the business of repairing broken lives. Praise the Lord! Also in that service, Larissa who received a tract on the street came forward and got saved! We praise the Lord for the Victory and the fruit the Lord gave.

Prayer for Anchor Boys Home Project
The Lord has opened the door for us to bring 3 adult orphan boys who can no longer live in the orphanage to live in our church. Our Orphan and family foundation here in Moldova has rights to do this. The government is open to this kind of project and this gives are mission leverage with the government for our living permits. Moldova likes this kind of project. Please pray about what you could do. We want to be able to train these boys up in church and send them to a vocation school for training. Please pray for wisdom. The approximate cost is $250 a month for each boy. We also need to do renovation to make sure rooms will be up to code, in preparation for the boy's arrival. Please pray, the goal date for doing this is May, 2010.
